We, the undersigned, petition the Council to Pedestrian Crossing on Ferndown Rd traffic light
More details from petitioner:
Currently there is no pedestrian crossing at the end of Ferndown Road (where it meets Altrincham Road). Pedestrians walking along Altrincham Road are challenged to predict or guess car traffic and traffic light timingsbefore they attempt to quickly cross Ferndown Road. The problem is obviously even more serious for people with mobility problems, elderly, small kids and parents with pushchairs.
We need a pedestrian crossing to ensure that all pedestrians are safe to cross the street. The presence of the retail park a few yards from that spot make the specific crossing a busy place for local shoppers.
